About Siog Holistic
Finola Mc Fadden – Holistic Therapist
Siog holistic is the Irish word for fairy. Founded by holistic therapist, artist and traveller, Finola Mc Fadden chose the word siog for her practise as she felt it gave a feeling, of lightness, playfulness and freedom. Let’s face it, we all want to physically, emotionally and mentally feel light, fluid with energy and passion to live our lives with health and aliveness.
No stranger to life’s challenges, Finola has always turned to her yoga & holistic yoga. She keeps close to the healing powers of nature and living simply by being holistic with nature and adventures both at home and abroad.
Through her Yoga teachings, Bio Energy therapy, Reiki, Ayurveda Facial Rejuvenation, Mandala workshops & holistic retreats at home and abroad, Finola has plenty of offerings to suit your holistic needs.
A native of Navan, County Meath, Ireland, Finola has 30 years of work experience ranging from teaching Art (primary, secondary and special needs) to teaching yoga since 2004 in Navan, Slane, County Meath, in Dahab, Red Sea, Egypt and In Manorhamilton, Leitrim.
Alongside her private yoga classes and one to one yoga therapy, she also has experience teaching Yoga and offering therapies and holistic workshops with active age groups and in nursing homes. She also worked on the holistic programme for The Stabilization Programme at Merchants Quay, substance abuse recovery programme, Dublin City centre, where Yoga, drugs counselling, meditation and Reiki were a big part of the project that Finola did there.
She has always had a huge love of travel, adventure and connecting with cultures and has spent time in the ashrams of India, living with Taramaru Indians in New Mexico and living for 6 months in a tepee close to the Lama Foundation Spiritual community and close to the local Hopi Indian tribe. She also spent long periods of time living with the Bedouin of Sinai Egypt, soaking up their simple way of desert living.
In her 9 years of living in Egypt, she connected with locals all over the country, spending time with them and learning their way of life. On her retreats planned for 2022, Finola hopes to share these magical untouched parts of Egypt as she really feels our true connection to self starts with simplifying our life and the magic of the Egypt desert and its people is a perfect way to activate our natural inherent self.
Finola believes in listening to her client, the restrictions and difference each person has once communicated, Finola guarantees to come up with a holistic program of yoga movement, bio energy techniques, meditation tools and deep relaxation models to help you build your own spiritual practise, as she believes it’s this practise that needs to be developed by everyone to suit their own needs to embrace a more holistic authentic self.
A consultation over the phone for 1 hour can give Finola enough of an intuitive feel of a programme that might suit you. Finola works like a holistic sculptor, helping you chip away from your physical and spiritual self, leaving you lighter and more flexible with confidence in continuing the tailor-made holistic practise for you. Finola acts as your guide to help clear the way for a holistic practise that works for you and your personal needs.
Namaste,
Look forward to working with you,
Finola
