The word “yoga” is derived from the Sanskrit word “Yui”, meaning “to join” or “to yoke” or “to unite”.

As per yoga scriptures, the practice of Yoga leads to the union of individual body and consciousness with that of the universal consciousness, indicating a newfound harmony between the mind and body, mankind and nature.

Hatha yoga is a branch of Yoga. The Sanskrit word “Hatha”, literally means “force” and thus alludes to a system of physical postures (asanas), breathwork (pranayama), and deep states of relaxation (yoga nidra)

My hatha yoga classes incorporate all the qualities of a traditional yoga class, along with an element of energy medicine yoga flow techniques. I pay particular attention to the individual’s body’s needs and restrictions, to allow each student to participate in the group class wherever they are at with their yoga practise.

After a hatha yoga flow class, expect to feel gently stretched, deeply relaxed both physically and mentally, feel your energetic body reactivated to a place of healthy flow, energized and with a newfound feeling of deep peace and joy.

This class is for everybody and I use chairs and props for students with restricted movement or health conditions. I offer a safe space where everyone is met exactly where they are at in their physical bodies.

Classes vary in length from 1 hour to 1hour 30minutes, depending on group or clients’ needs.

One to one sessions are available online or in person if you would like a course tailor made for your specific body requirements. This is very beneficial if you have an injury or condition that needs that extra bit of care and attention. It will also give you the tools to set up a safe practise for yourself at home.
