Somatic yoga is a movement therapy, a way of re-educating the way the brain senses and moves muscle. It is incredibly subtle and a powerful way of retraining the nervous system, dealing gently with injury and releasing trapped emotions and energic blocks from the physical and mental bodies.
It has really been invaluable for me during times of recovering from injury and trauma as it repatterns the brain’s healthy energy flow and gently releases body tension, like no other yoga form.
It gets to where other yoga modalities cannot, especially with motor neuron illnesses, nerval problems and extreme fatigue or body restrictions due to injury or just wear and tear.
In this class, I combine a gentler hatha yoga, where poses are held and breath is deepened, with Somatic yoga routines for specific body parts, which vary with each class or individual needs. This class ends with a relaxing yoga nidra, as rest is needed after somatic yoga movements to give the body a chance to receive and assimilate the new healthy pathways the somatic experience brings to the body. This is truly a very nurturing yoga therapy class.
One to one course of 3 is 130euro (online or in person)
Workshops for groups also available for community groups businesses, special needs groups and the active age.

The word “yoga” is derived from the Sanskrit word “Yui”, meaning “to join” or “to yoke” or “to unite”.
As per yoga scriptures, the practice of Yoga leads to the union of individual body and consciousness with that of the universal consciousness, indicating a newfound harmony between the mind and body, mankind and nature.
Hatha yoga is a branch of Yoga. The Sanskrit word “Hatha”, literally means “force” and thus alludes to a system of physical postures (asanas), breathwork (pranayama), and deep states of relaxation (yoga nidra)
My hatha yoga classes incorporate all the qualities of a traditional yoga class, along with an element of energy medicine yoga flow techniques. I pay particular attention to the individual’s body’s needs and restrictions, to allow each student to participate in the group class wherever they are at with their yoga practise.
After a hatha yoga flow class, expect to feel gently stretched, deeply relaxed both physically and mentally, feel your energetic body reactivated to a place of healthy flow, energized and with a newfound feeling of deep peace and joy.
This class is for everybody and I use chairs and props for students with restricted movement or health conditions. I offer a safe space where everyone is met exactly where they are at in their physical bodies.
Classes vary in length from 1 hour to 1hour 30minutes, depending on group or clients’ needs.
One to one sessions are available online or in person if you would like a course tailor made for your specific body requirements. This is very beneficial if you have an injury or condition that needs that extra bit of care and attention. It will also give you the tools to set up a safe practise for yourself at home.

Face yoga is a series of facial exercises, where you intentionally isolate and tone the facial muscles. It’s a natural alternative to cosmetic facial procedures. The benefits include increased blood circulation to the face and neck, facial muscles are strengthened and lifted and there is a reduction of sagginess, dull complexion and fine lines. Through the facial yoga exercises, the face becomes reinflated with new life, freshness and a youthful healthy happy glow.
Combining the lifting techniques and acupressure facial points activation, I learned on my facial rejuvenation training, with facial yoga exercises, somatic movements for head and eyes, face, neck and shoulders, pelvic floor breathwork and a relaxing yoga nidra to finish, this workshop promises to leave you feeling fresh-faced and deeply relaxed with a newfound confidence. It will also give you tips and tools to help you create your own facial yoga practise to use regularly in the comfort of your own home. Let’s face it, we love to look radiant and stress free.

Bio Energy Therapy is based on the premise that every person is surrounded by an electro-magnetic field of energy, known as the auric field. It’s a holistic, non-invasive therapy which works to create emotional, mental and physical harmony, balance and wellbeing in the body. Bio energy works to clear any blockages held in the chakra system and auric field of the client. Energy flows through the body in the same way water flows through a hose. Through trauma, grief, illness and energy imbalances, the energy flow can be stunted or blocked. Bio Energy works to clear these blocks, allowing the body to self-heal and return to its healthy natural energy flow.
It’s a mainly hands-off technique, working around the auric field of body and clearing the 7-chakra system but always includes a few hands-on techniques to ground, clear and energize the body.
As the body always holds the score and the energetic resonances of our life story, Bio Energy reaches the client on a cellular level, clearing issues that talk therapy can never reach. It’s the perfect accompaniment to talk therapy, to clear the body of stubborn, sometimes unconscious unhealthy holdings.
I have seen it have great results for backache, sinus, migraine, arthritis, asthma, allergies, digestive problems, depression and anxiety, insomnia, fatigue, grief and trauma.
It restores balance and energises the overall mind, body and spirit offering a new sense of overall wellbeing from just a few sessions.
Although one session is great for an energy boost, I prefer to work with a client for a minimum course of 4 treatments, followed by a follow up aftercare consultation, a month later. This is needed to tackle the stubborn blocks effectively that have caused the illness and it’s also like a healing journey back to wholeness.
I have done many distant bio energy treatments and found them as effective and constantly amazed to be able to read the energetic body of a client from afar. At the beginning of the covid crisis, I did an online training with BETA, Ireland, (association of bio energy therapists) and professionally trained to do distant bio energy therapies. These can be done from the comfort of your home and are equally beneficial to the client.
The face and neck can be forgotten in their need to be stretched and toned, just like the rest of the body. This effective holistic treatment is a wonderful alternative to cosmetic facials with instant results.
The benefits of The Facial Rejuvenation are many, including;
Tones, smooths and lifts each area of the face.
Reduces wrinkles, puffiness, sagginess
Releases tension in the face and body
Boosts energy and immunity, by targeting meridian points on face.
Activates and drains lymph nodes, enabling body to detox.
Helps greatly to assist health problems, including anxiety, depression, migraines, headaches, sinus problems, insomnia.
The treatment takes you on a journey of deep relaxation, renewed energy, clearing and rebalancing of the body’s natural healthy flow, giving you a stress-free healthy glow and a renewed sense of calmness and joy.
Through acupressure on the facial meridians (8 of the 12 meridians of the body are on the face), the bodies energy channels are activated.
Lifting and smoothing techniques are used to help retrain the facial muscles into healthier relaxed patterns. the treatment finishes with lymphatic drainage and Indian head massage and grounding techniques. It is a facial and energy healing treatment in one and personally one of my favourites from its immediate benefits.
Although a difference can be seen after a single treatment, the effects of a course of 4 to 6 treatments consecutively, weekly or bi-weekly work for long-term results of change and give a greater chance for the facial muscles to retrain into new patterns and expressions of health.
Aftercare is included in a course of 6 sessions with tips to self-tone and exercise the facial muscles, maintaining your new radiant face.
